About a week ago, while visiting the Southshore Yacht and Beach Club, I came across a large banner in the lobby announcing The Preserve Project Joint Venture Agreement between Lake at Las Vegas Joint Venture, LLC and H&L Investment & Development, Inc.

I noticed that there were many Chinese businessmen in suits milling around the Yacht and Beach Club taking pictures so naturally had to ask someone what was going on. I was told that Mr. Boeddeker (the developer of Lake Las Vegas) was having a special dinner.

Unfortunately, there is not too much information about this joint venture on the Internet, so can't really comment.

There has been speculation that an investment was in the works to resume building some large projects on the Northshore including, Rainbow Canyon Golf Course and a proposed new village built on an island that will rival the current Montelago Village.

If this is the case, it's very exciting news as many residents were disappointed that these projects had been put on hold.

We'll be watching for more information as it comes out.

Looking to be king of the neighborhood? It will set you back at least a cool $6 million in Lake Las Vegas, but hey what's a few bucks to impress your friends. For the rest of us, at least we can get a peek at how the ultra-rich do Vegas.

All of the homes on the list are located in Southshore, the guard gated exclusive community in Lake Las Vegas. 3 of the top 5 are located in Monaco, 1 in Marseilles, and 1 in Siena. (See map of Lake Las Vegas Southshore here.)

3 properties, 36 Grand Corniche, 38 Grand Corniche, and 46 Grand Corniche, are also lakefront properties, though the most expensive house on our list, 8 Rue Mediterra is not.

At 19,968 square feet, 8 Rue Mediterra, is the largest home to date in Lake Las Vegas and the ultimate behemoth. Featuring 9 bedrooms and 10.5 bathrooms (not a typo), this house has an incredible pool complete with a "viewing bridge". It also has all the other "standard" features you would expect like multiple elevator configurations, vaulted rotunda with fiber optic night sky, opera balconies, and of course the ballroom with the performing bandstand stage.

With price tags of $6 million to $10 million, I probably don't have to tell you the other homes are stunning as well, so I'll quit talking and let them speak for themselves.

Here is the current list of the most expensive homes available in Lake Las Vegas.
